Marmalade the cat goes snap happy with the HTC One!

Greeting furless ones - Marmalade the cat here - I understand that you have been missing me and I don't blame you but I haven't really had anything to tell you about lately. With my extreme beauty there aren't many products worthy of my notice, until a company was wise enough to send me something to capture it with - an HTC One Smartphone. The phone part of it doesn't interest me so much, when cats want to communicate we make our calls from the top of the back fence at night - what makes the HTC One interesting is the camera aspect which offers pictures that are as sharp, clear and as richly colourful as those you would find on a regular camera. There was also some bla-bla about large, light-sensitive pixels but I saw something shiny and stopped paying attention - so let's just say it takes really pretty pictures - I was told it would be especially good for fashion pics and what better fashion is there then fur so I got some of my friends to model for me...
As you can see I live by the adage to always be the best looking one in your group of friends...
And since my friends all seem to be black and white this gives you an idea of how colour comes out.
It takes nice pictures in all kinds of light - here I am scoping the field for lunch mice!
It also does panoramic shots really easily.
Low level light and panoramic.
And even lying on my back checking out good climbing spots!
And of course what good is a camera phone that doesn't take a decent selfie...?!
The only thing it doesn't do is stop your stupid brother from photo-bombing you...
and totally taking over the shot - I swear I'm adopted!
HTC One needs to think about releasing this with meow commands though - it's a real bitch to operate without thumbs!

Catalytic Clothing brings new meaning to the term "breathable fabric"!

Fashion does many things for us including making us look and feel better but what if it could actually help us breath better?!  A collaboration between the University of Sheffield, London College of Fashion, and the University of Ulster, the gown is part of a larger project to engage the public in the science of environmental pollution.,

Catalytic Clothing explores how textiles can improve ambient quality, and the self-described textile sculpture, likely the world’s first air-purifying dress, is the first prototype to emerge. Highly experimental, according to the designers, Herself is designed to illustrate how fabrics can eliminate pollutants so we can “breathe more beautifully.”

Of course this dress can't actually be worn as it's actually made from sprayed concrete and embedded with “purifying technology.” Right now it's art but the science behind it could conceivably produce garments that improve respiratory health - how cool is that?

The Fashion's Night Out yesterday was mostly glamorous but there were a few red carpet mishaps. We had mismatched patterns, stripper's style and artsy gone fartsy. A good night!

Introducing The Phone Dress and LED Fashion: You Too Can Be Cool like an Azeri Pop Star!

Forget getting high, I have a much better option - albeit probably as expensive - get a LED garment! The London based company Cute Circuit designs T-shirts and dresses incorporating LED technology and crystals to make you glow and sparkle in the dark! The best part? It reacts to your movements so you can dance all night and make other people feel sick too. You could even look like your favorite pop tart Katy Perry (I wish I could insert a barfing emoticon here) or this Azeri (from Azerbaijan) pop star. Joke aside, you can order these crazy T-shirts online and they could be yours within a few weeks!

His
Hers

The "Hug Shirt" has sensors that feel the strength of the touch, the skin warmth and the heartbeat rate of the sender and actuators that recreate the sensation of touch, warmth and emotion of the hug to the shirt of the distant loved one.

As for the black phone dress also called M-dress it will accept a standard SIM card and allow the wearer to receive and make calls without carrying a cellular phone in their pocket or purse. Watch out iPhone, I'm going to make phone calls with my clothes!
I can sense this company is targeting the club goers: this should solve the "lost" phones issues after a night out...
