On New Year's Eve when most people have important, philosophical discussions about the state of the world and other weighty matters, I found myself in the middle of a spirited conversation about whether lining the waterline was a big no-no or not. Most of the ladies had done it back in the day and it had taken some sort of intervention to make them stop doing it.
