VagiSense offers quick screening for faster relief!

I'm sure you can imagine that I am constantly receiving pitches for strange and wonderful products - everything from butt pads, to face cream made from snail slime, to sex toys that would make Christian Grey blush and most recently junkface (you don't want to know). Most of these e-mails I read, laugh and delete, including ones for feminine hygiene products - I hate tv commercials for that kind of product so would never subject my dear readers to it - exception to the rule was when I did the Stayfree Challenge but only because I thought the tv commercials were a scam (they aren't).

But then every once in a long while I hear about a product that I think is clever and even though it might have a certain "ick" factor to it, is something I would want to know about so figure some of you might too!

VagiSense - $17 - is an easy to use and interpret  over-the-counter vaginal infection screening test to help differentiate between a possible yeast infection and a bacterial/parasitic infection.

I never actually realized that there's more then one type of infection until I had what I thought was a yeast infection and bought the remedy at the drugstore, had it not work and went to the doctor only to find out that it was bacterial -  there are three common types of vaginal infections: bacterial vaginosis, yeast infections, and trichomoniasis - they all have similar symptoms (itching, burning, an unpleasant odour, excessive vaginal discharge) but each requires a different treatment.

My experience is not uncommon  - in fact studies show that 66% of women who self-diagnosed a vaginal yeast infection were wrong, as the most frequent cause of abnormal vaginal symptoms is, in fact, bacterial vaginosis which has to be treated with prescription medication. If I had used VagiSense, I would have known right away that it wasn't a yeast infection and could have saved myself some time, treated it correctly and gotten relief quicker!

Available now in pharmacies across Canada - for more info check out http://isharemyhealth.ca/.
