Day 1 - two coats of colour and one coat of top coat - I didn't realize until I saw the pic that I had managed to topcoat my finger too! I have never had even a salon gel manicure before - I have commitment issues so really had no interest in a polish colour that lasts that long - plus they sound like such a pain to remove that I've never bothered.

Day 8 - this is as long as I could stand to keep the same colour on - as you can see, the colour has grown out but hasn't chipped (please ignore the cuticules), I didn't redo the top coat or anything and it's even still pretty shiny. I don't have long nails but I have busy nails so normally I would have lots of chips if I left my colour on this long - I type a lot (obviously) and am always using my nails to scrape and poke at things! I was also pleased to discover that it came off as easily as regular nail polish - one swipe and it was gone!
