Daphne describes this collection as a "window into her imagination" and what a colourful imagination that must be! They aren't "pretty" colours though, it's almost like the colours are all kind of dirty if that makes any sense... whatever you want to call it, I am liking them!

Mascara Monday - Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Paillettes Plum Sparkles

Part of the Givenchy Fall/Winter collection Phenomen'Eyes Paillettes features fine pearlescent particles meant to dress the lashes up in shimmering radiance. After hearing that description, I knew it had to be mine! So I went with the plum colour figuring it would bring out the blue in my eyes.

It can be applied directly to the lashes

or as a top coat over your usual mascara.

 

I must admit I thought it would have more in the way of obvious sparkle but it's more like a discrete shimmer. I purposely didn't comb it after applying it as a top coat over my mascara but I think I should have just a bit to make it less clumpy - I was just afraid of brushing out any sparkle. On it's own though, I like the look a lot, I think the spiky look is really cool and it gives great length and definition! 

 

What do you think are you seeing the shimmer or is it just wishful thinking on my part?

Glamorous, sophisticated and fun describe the latest offerings from shu  - they never disappoint in bringing something new and different to each collection and this one is no different! The palette case is adorable, lipsticks are gorgeous and as usual, the lashes are crazy!

Nine West previews Fall/Winter 2011 and I fall in some major shoe lust!

I've started my mental fall shoe shopping already thanks to Sherson Group and their Fall/Winter 2011 preview which I attended last week. Not only did I see the upcoming shoes from Nine West but also some from Rachel Rachel Roy, Mootsies Tootsies, Bandolino, AK Anne Klein, Brian Atwood, Enzo Angiolini, Easy Spirit, San & Libby, Joan & David as well as Nine & Co, Nine West Vintage America and Boutique 9 - pure heaven!

There were shoes, boots and bags galore in all of the coming trends of the fall/winter season - I couldn't take you all with me but I did take lots of pictures - enjoy!
