The Burroughes Building became a full service salon this past week getting Canadian editors and television personalities TIFF ready.

Sally Hershberger and her team of stylist from Los Angeles and New York were on hand providing blowouts and styling with Sally's line of products - if you're looking for some serious volume, be sure to try Major Body and Plump Up - if something can turn my limp locks into va-va-voom volume, you know it has to be good!

Going glam at the Murale/Sally Hershberger TIFF Suite!

It's a tough life being a star, I mean really, all kinds of  people pampering and primping you to make you look your most fabulous all the time?! Horrendous!

I had a chance to experience the hardships of celebrity first hand last week at the Murale/Sally Hershberger TIFF Suite and what a whirlwind of activity it was!

First up was hair - Sally wasn't around yet that day so I was put into the capable hands of Sally Hershberger Stylist, Leland Ferrell, who with something akin to magic, turned my flat, blah hair into a body-full wonderland! Okay maybe not so much magic and more like Plump Up Thickening Mist - truly a miracle worker!

Murale Beauty Master, Shannon Burnstun was in charge of my face and with a little help from Stila and Chanel had my complexion looking flawless, my eyes smouldering and had chosen the prettiest berry colour for my lips!

DUO Professional Eyelashes technician, Mariana Georghiou was giving everyone the glamour look, I hadn't planned on having my lashes done but Shannon talked me into it. I've had extensions and a few individual lashes before but never a full strip so I was a little worried that it would look super fake but they have styles that come in every thickness and length you can think of so it was easy to get something more natural.

I went with D14 Short and Spiked - $12.99 - I apologize for the tired looking eyes, I didn't have a chance to take this picture until I came home late that night!

Deborah Lippmann polish changes where also in the offing from Chiara Williamsonwith and with so many amazing sparkly shades it was hard to choose! After much deliberation I went with:

Candy Shop - pink with every colour of sparkle you can think of, what's not to love?!

I checked out the Express accessories and fell in love with the cutest little octopus ring - it's the first ring on the right there, squint and look really close and you'll see it!

And then learned a new way to get the all-important Vitamin D that my body is probably deficient of considering how much I avoid the sun!

Sally Hershberger - elusive but still wonderful!

Sally Hershberger was in town last week for TIFF and I came soooo close to having her style my hair - how many people get to say that Sally touched their hair - well celebrities do of course, but normal people like me, never! Unfortunately, due to weather in New York, Sally's flight was delayed and I missed out. Luckily, the charming James was there to give me the star treatment and introduce me to Sally's latest product:

Sally Hershberger - go big or go home with her new volumizing products!

Sally Hershberger was in town recently to show off her two brand new volumizing products and of course my little ears always perk up when I hear about something that promised to add volume to my depressingly flat hair!

Sally is fun to watch in action except she never stops moving so it's almost impossible to take a picture of her!  But I couldn't help but be impressed the results with the model you see here - that's a lot of hair!

The new products are:

Major Body - 170g - $12.99 - a dry volumizing hairspray that builds weightless volume instantly.  The more you work the product into the hair, the bigger the style gets and because the hairspray is dry, it doesn't weigh down the hair no matter how much you use.  Spray over dry hair and work with hands to build volume, shape and lasting style. I didn't believe that a hairspray could really be dry - I'm so used to wet, sticky ones!  I spray this into my roots with my head turned upside down for instant lift and into my hair for extra body.  And because it isn't wet or sticky, you can reapply it during the day with no build-up - genius!

Plump Up - 150ml - $12.99 - daily restorative thickening spray with super collagen that plumps every strand with a lightweight mist that provides hair with fullness and nourishment for a healthier and  bouncier style.  The heat-activated formula transforms the texture and condition of the hair and it's still light enough to be layered with other products without leaving a heavy residue. Spray on towel-dried hair. While I like this one in theory, I don't actually often have time to blow dry my hair in the morning so the whole heat-activated thing is kind of lost on me. On the rare occasion when I do, I have been using this and I can see the difference in how full my hair looks and feels so I am going to dry very hard to find an extra 5 minutes in the morning to use this more often!
