This week I'm obsessed with... Warner's No Side Effects Wire Free Bra!

Warner's No Side Effects Wire Free Bra - $38 - help you achieve a smooth and sleek silhouette with a  comfortable, wire-free, v-neck bra featuring soft molded cups and a wide side panel that helps to eliminate underarm bulge.

The wider side panel really does make all the difference in keeping everything  flat and settled where it's supposed to be - and it's quite a liberating feeling ditching the underwire - anyone over a 34B probably hasn't dared to try that since their teens! The molded cups hold everything in place just fine, the only thing I will say is that the lack of wire seems to eliminate a bit of the perkiness that you might otherwise be getting.

Comes in Black, Pale Pink and Toasted Almond - and sizes 34A, 34B, 34C, 36A, 36B, 36C, 38B, 38C, 40B, 40C.

Available now exclusively at Hudson's Bay.

Test Driving - Wonderbra Perky Profile Bra

As far as I'm concerned a comfortable bra is a necessity not a luxury - and it's hard to find one that is not only comfortable but also pretty - until I tried on:

Wonderbra Perky Profile Bra - $42 - E1577 - in sizes B34-40, C36-42, D, DD38-40 - comes in 2 colours: warm steel and black - the comfort part comes from it's 360-degree breathable style that is ultra-lightweight with thicker straps that don't dig into my shoulders. The pretty is the delicate mesh overlay and super thin scalloped foam cups which also makes even the thinnest shirt over it hang smoothly. It also offers lift without being a pushup - pushing up being something I definitely don't want or need! The 2-textured style of this is also perfect to wear under a too-plunging neckline, the bra might show but it just looks like a cami or some other layer you might be wearing underneath, not like your underwear is showing!

And if you like to get all matchy-matchy about these things there's also a coordinating panty for $13 - and while it's not Spanx, it does offer a little bit of tummy control!

Available now at Hudson's Bay and Sears.

Celebrate 100 years of Triumph with a bra that actually fits!

It's the perfect time of year to throw out all the ugly, dingy, ripped and ill-fitting underwear that has been lurking in the back of your lingerie drawer all winter and invest in some new lovelies like this set from Triumph - who have been making pretty things for 100 years now:

Triumph Forbidden Lace Bra - $48 - in sizes from B to DD and Forbidden Lace Bikini - $20 - in S to XL - both come in black, natural, beige and my particular favourite, blue - stretch lace. Available at Hudson's Bay.

And while it's important that your bra looks good in your lingerie drawer you also want to make sure that it's comfortable and doing its job on your body.

Would you be surprised to know that Triumph recently discovered that 76% of women are currently wearing the wrong bra size? Aside from being very uncomfortable, wearing an incorrect bra size can have many negatively impacts on your day to day life from decreasing your confidence to affecting your overall health.

The perfect fit should feel comfortable, weightless, improve your posture and create a flattering silhouette that makes you look and feel great - if you aren't feeling that way in your dainties, it may mean you are wearing the wrong size and should be fitted by an expert.

Here are the major signs that you are wearing the incorrect bra size:

1)      You’re uncomfortable.

2)      Your straps are digging into your shoulder.

3)      Your straps are falling off of your shoulders.

4)      Your bra is leaving marks or indentations on your body.

5)      Your underwire is sticking out.

6)      You’re spilling out of the sides of your cup.

7)      You’re overflowing out of your cup.

8)      The strap is causing a bulge in the back.

9)      The band keeps moving up in the back.

10)   The band does not rest flat against your back.

11)   There is a gap between your bra and your bust.

12)   The center of your bra does not rest on your skin.

13)   The cups are sagging or baggy.

14)   You’re experiencing issues with back pain, indigestion, restricted breathing, or neck pain.

15)   You’re in pain.

If you are experiencing any of the above issues, it is time to visit a Bra Fitting Stylist at Hudson's Bay. Their expertise can help you identify what issues are related to wearing the wrong cup or size and ultimately find you the perfect fit.

Of course even when you are measured by an expect sizing can differ from brand to brand depending on cut, materials and style so while ordering bras online can seem like a tempting time-saver, prepare to have to return some of them for sizing issues!

Test Driving Calvin Klein Push Positive Bra

I don't know about you, but I would love to join some Amazon tribe where there is no societal expectation of women to wear bras - let's face it, they just aren't comfortable!

Enter Calvin Klein Push Positive - $49 - they've gone and done away with the one thing that I find the biggest "pain" about wearing a bra - the metal wire! Replacing it is a single flexible piece of plastic encased in foam which offers all the support of the traditional metal with nontraditional comfort!

It lifts, it pushes in but it doesn't dig in - genius! You don't know how nice it is to spend the day not having the dig underwire out of your boobs until you've tried this bra!

Only drawback - if you're larger then 36C you're out of luck - although to be fair, if you're larger then 36C you probably have no interest in push up bras - but I am hoping this technology will make its way to regular bras too and do away with wire altogether!

Available now exclusively at The Bay in sizes 32-36 A, B, C in basic Black and Bare or go crazy with Catwalk Print, Black Coffee Colourway, Black Coffee, Wild Flower and Ivy League.

This week I'm obsessed with... my Armour Bra!

When I first heard about the "Armour Bra" I had something a little more Xena Warrior Princess in mind but it actually turned out to be Under Armour's cutsie name for their new sports bra! Once I got over the disappointment of no metal plating I quickly fell in love with how darned comfortable it is!

Unlike my usual (and now former) sports bra - it actually fits properly! It's not rocket science, UA was just clever enough to realize that sports bras should be like every other bra and sized for band and cup sizes - S,M,L really doesn't cut it when it comes to bras! And to make things really easy and because there is nothing worse than being at a bra display and trying to find the right size, each cup size is colour coded - A - yellow, B - blue, C - red, D - orange, DD - purple - so all you need to do is find your colour, pick the correct band size and you are good to go!

Other things that make me happy about it: the wide shoulder bands that don't dig into my shoulders and leave red marks, it's seam-free so no chafing, it has removable cups so I can choose to have them in or not (and I have yet to have one fall out during a class which let me tell you, is embarrassing!), I don't have to fight or go through acrobatics to get it on and it has hook and eye closures that are easy to do up!

I understand there are all kinds of athletic benefits to it too which you can check out if you are so inclined at the website. Not being a sporty girl, I won't even pretend to understand them, you'll have to tell me if that kind of thing is impressive to you athletic types.

I have heard people say that they wear a sports bra all the time, even under regular clothing and I never could understand why because I have always found them so uncomfortable - they either squash the girls and give you a shelf boob or don't offer any support at all - with this Armour bra though, I can now see the appeal!

For everything else you ever wanted to know about the new bra or to order check out - they're selling for $69.99 a pop -

Seduction is on the holiday menu at Victoria's Secret!

My Victoria's Secret holiday catalogue arrived a couple of weeks ago and not only have I been drooling over the gorgeous lingerie, but also admiring all the model's makeup - this is the perfect seduction look - super sexy but still strangely kind of natural looking which is a makeup look that men really like as most of them are not overly fond of too much makeup.

Here's what you need to pick up for the ultimate seduction courtesy of Victoria's Secret:

Dream Angels Push-Up Bra - $52-$98 (depending on how much bling you have on it) - Available in lots of different colours with lace and/or sparkle which are beautiful! I have several of these in the non-push up variety and they are super comfortable - I don't tend to go for push-ups in public because it scares small children so this is definitely a holiday treat for the husband!

Bombshell Seduction - 50ml EDP - $52 - with notes velvet magnolia, warm musk and sparkling grapefruit - really, the name says it all!
"Hello Bombshell!" Makeup Kit - $30 - includes: 30 Eye Shadows; 5 Lip Glosses; 5 Lipsticks; 4 Blushes; 1 Luminous Powder; 1 Translucent Powder; 1 Bronzer; 1 Mascara; 1 Lip Liner; 1 Eye Liner; and 5 Brushes. There's enough makeup here to achieve any look you could possibly think of (but if it's a little overwhelming you can also check out their Party Perfect Makeup Kit)
Dream Angels Heavenly Shimmer Lotion - 250ml - $20 - If you're going to have that much skin on display it should shimmer - not to mention smell good from a sensual blend of white musk, sandalwood, vanilla and white peony!

Available for your seducing pleasure at Victoria's Secret stores (if you're lucky enough to have one in your city) or online at www.victoriassecret.com.

Test driving La Vie en Rose Double Gel Extreme Bra!

The promo for it is so cute that I tried to convince Christelle that this would be the proper way to test drive the bra - she very bitchily declined. You know that if it came in my size I totally would have done it!
La Vie en Rose Double Gel Extreme - $49.95 - in sizes: 32 A-B; 34 A-B-C; 36 A-B-C - it comes in 5 colours: black, white, champagne, purple and grey and is seamless and snag resistant. The triangle at the center actually shifts the angle of the bra cups to maximize extreme cleavage; with lightweight push-up gel padding to create extreme cleavage and add up to 2 cup sizes; and the added bonus of four way convertible straps so you can wear it with any outfit.

So everyone's got a push-up bra these days so I know you want to know what makes this one different - from what I'm hearing, it's the comfort factor but I'll let Christelle tell you since she's the one who actually wore it:

"This bra is simply quite wonderful and almost criminal…because it makes my girls look way bigger, I mean like false-advertising-bigger! The 2 cup sizes bigger advertisement is no joke! What especially makes it great though is that it is so comfy, you don’t feel squeezed or squished so there is no pain like some of the extreme push up bras on the market, you can easily wear this for the entire day. And because there aren’t any mobile inserts you don't have to worry about losing your cleavage by accident!"

Available now in store and online at www.lavieenrose.com
