So pretty were the clothes at the Chanel 2012 Spring-Summer Ready-to-Wear Show that you might not have even have noticed Peter Philips' makeup - but you need to 'cause it sure is purty!
Uncle Karl wanted shine and pearl to meet his inspiration of a fantastic underwater fairytale feeling and mood of lightness.
Philips focused on luminosity, purity and a touch of humour. He did pale,
glowy skin with a pink/coral blush, a wet shiny eyelid finished with a black
eyeliner. Slightly glossy lips and randomly placed pearl «piercings». Some girls even had a pearl spine.
As well as creating a white pearly nailpolish (Attraction 545 available in 2012) exclusively for the show, he also came up with three more colourful looks:

Philips feels that this is a very accessible, wearable look - not to mention easy to apply and flattering for
most women. The balance between shine and mat, topped with a hint of colour, is
a perfect way to float into Spring 2012.

What do you think of the look? I must admit, I find the pearl spine a little creepy but the rest is so soft and pretty - I'm already thinking spring!

I actually like the pearl spine, but not the random flowers or pearls or whatever on her face in the first photo!

ooh my goodness i am in love with may and june- june is a little different tho. may i feel like i have but i cannot WAIT until they come out!!!! spring 2012 seems too far away! lol
