Waters that wash from Avene, NeoStrata, Boots No 7 and Lise Watier!

I've been a big fan of cleansing waters ever since a facialist introduced them to me as a brilliant first cleansing step before using my Clarisonic to keep the brush from getting all gunked up with makeup!

Cleansing waters are also great "roughing it" travel or if you have sensitivities to tap water as they cleanse without the use of water.

Here are a few that I like depending on what my skin is doing on any given day:

Avène Cleanance Cleansing Water - 400ml - $27.50 - a no-rise product for sensitive oily, blemish-prone skin that gently eliminates impurities from the face and eyes (including make-up and light, waterproof make-up) as well as helping to reduce excess sebum that leaves the skin clear, cool and clean.

Available exclusively at drugstore across Canada and check out the brand new Canadian website for more brand info - www.eau-thermale-avene.ca.
NeoStrata Micellar Cleanser - 200ml - $21 - for all skin types including sensitive containing cucumber extract - for it's anti-inflammatory properties, helps retain moisture and delivers a cool and refreshing sensation and humectant sugars - to promote skin hydration and provide soothing benefits.  -

Formulated at an ideal pH so as not to irritate or dry out even the most sensitive skin as it cleans and soothes the skin in one simple step, thanks to the innovative micelle technology. A micelle is a round- shaped cluster of many cleaning agents. The micelles have a hydrophilic (water-loving) exterior and a hydrophobic (water-hating) center. When this cluster comes into contact with the skin’s surface, the micelle opens up and the hydrophobic, fat-loving center attracts all the impurities – such as oil, dirt and make-up. These impurities are trapped inside the micelle and prevented from re-depositing onto the skin. The dirt-filled micelle is then gently removed from the skin’s surface with a simple swipe of a cotton pad, no vigorous rubbing or tugging required. All that remains is a clean and fresh feeling. And due to the unique cleaning nature of the micelle technology, it's particularly beneficial for eye make-up removal, as it requires no roughness to do its job – which is great given the delicate nature of the skin around the eyes.

Available at major drugstores across Canada.
Boots No 7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Water - 200ml - $13 - a refreshing cleansing water for normal to oily skin that dissolves make-up and impurities while helping to tighten pores to keep skin looking clear and healthy.

Available exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart.
Lise Watier Prebiotic Micellar Water - 200ml - $25 - a 3-in-1 cleanser makeup remover for face, eyes and lips with a no-rise formula making it great for all skin types, even sensitive.

What makes it different from your typical cleansing water is the prebiotic formula which helps optimize the balance of good and bad bacterias that are essential for healthy skin and act as a defense shield against infection - it stimulates the growth of good bacteria at the expense of bad bacteria - and since pollution, temperature fluctuations, humidity, stress and even lifestyle habits can disrupt the balance it's great to be able to do this while cleansing away dirt and makeup.

Available at Shoppers Drug Mart, The Bay, Sears, London Drugs, Jean Coutu and Pharmaprix.
