Soap & Glory introduces 2-Minute Rinse Tuesday - save water, get clean, smell great!

With the amount of shower gel they sell, Soap & Glory obviously want you showering and they're on a mission to mitigate the earth-challenging effects of their business on earth's most imminent ecological disaster - water shortage!

Showering is a must of course but their is no reason you can't shower responsibly! The average 5-minute shower uses 35 litres of water (70% of our recommended daily water use), cut that down to 2 minutes and you'll save a lot of that water!

With an extremely scientific study involving 17 Soap & Glory staffers, they calculated that it was entirely possible to get washed, shampooed, conditioned and rinsed in around 120 seconds of running water (of course this does involve some tap on/tap off action - so if you have one of those taps that you can automatically set the temperature with so you don't have to fiddle to get the temperature right each time it will make things much easier.)

Here's how it works:

1. Tap On - for 40 seconds to warm up and get 'all over watered.'

2. Tap Off - while you suds, scrub, shave and shampoo.

3. Tap On - to rise for 40 seconds (we know, some of you have long hair.)

4. Tap Off - while you massage in conditioner (if you use it.)

5. Tap On - for a final 40 second rise!

If you are going to do this just make sure you use products that rise easily or you will spend the 2 minutes trying to remove sticky shower gel! I like Soap & Glory Foam Call - it smells great and washes off easily!
