Leighton Meester visits Toronto and shares her guide to a luscious life!

Leighton Meester, Herbal Essences Global Celebrity Ambassador, recently visited Toronto with Herbal Essences North American Celebrity Stylist, Charles Baker Strahan and shared tips on how she indulges in everything from hair to fashion, music and art.  I did notice that they failed to ask her important questions like "How awesome is it to get to make out with Ed Westwick everyday as your JOB?!" but hey, what do I know?

What is your definition of luscious hair what's your secret to achieving it?
I would have to say luscious means hair that's natural looking, soft, shiny and touchable ever after I style it. It just smells and looks and feels fantastic all the time and of course, is in great condition.

I think the most important thing to remember is to maintain a really good regime with your hair. If you take good care of your hair every day, it will love you back.

What have you learned from Charles Baker Strahan - your personal hair stylist and Herbal Essences North American Celebrity Stylist?
My favourite hair tip that I've learned from Charles involves spraying some Herbal Essences Set Me Up hairspray on a blush brush and gently smoothing it over the little frizzies that never stay down - it gets rid of them without losing the style.

How do you and Charles prepare for red-carpet events?
I love experimenting with style-you have probably noticed that in my fashion choices, but it applies to hair too. When Charles does my hair, we first talk about what I'm wearing for the occasion and then we talk about the look I want to go for.

When I want a touchable un-done look, I goo for the Tousle Me Softly collection. I love how the Finishing touch Cream helps define my hair but still leaves it touchably soft. When I want really intense voluminous hair, Body Invy is an amazing product line.

What is your fashion philosophy?
In my eyes there are no rules in fashion, especially on the red carpet. I just like having fun, expressing myself and experimenting.

My favourite designers include Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Calvin Klein, YSL, Chloe, Stella McCartney, Phillip Lim, Balmain, Alaia, Chanel, Emilio de la Morenza, Balenciaga, Proenza Schouler and Jason Wu.

After a long day on set, what music helps you get back into the groove?
Tom Petty, Outkast, Mike Snow, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, The Cars, Neil young, Gnarls Barkley, Joni Mitchell, Check in the Dark and Paul Simon.

Who inspires you musically?
Dolly Parton,k madonna, Swen Stefani and Cyndi Lauper.

What are your favourite films?
Two for the Road, Imitation of Life, All About Eve, Casino, The Age of Innocence, The Godfather, Goodfellas, There Will Be Blood, Imitation of Life, Interview with the Vampire, American Beauty, Dangerous Liaisons and East of Eden.

Who are your favourite artists?
Monet, Cezanne, Rossetti, Picasso and Warhol.
Now I always hope that if I do everything like Leighton, that a little Chuck will come my way so I recently tried out some products from the Herbal Essences Body Envy collection.  If you are looking for hair products that won't break the bank (they cost around $3.99 each) and smell amazing, then you want to try these!  They contain white nectarine and pink coral flower which smells divine!  I didn't find the shampoo and conditioner to be overly volumizing on their own but when I also used the mousse, I got great body and lift.  What I really appreciated was that none of the products weighed my hair down, as I have fine hair this is super important!
