Oscar Blandi has a great new addition to their dry shampoo line!

I have a deep, deep love for dry shampoo due to my fine hair.  You see the problem with fine hair is that many professionals say that you shouldn't wash it everyday but I find that when I don't wash it, it just ends up looking kind of limp.  So I am forever testing out dry shampoos, many of which are excellent!  I've tried the Oscar Blandi Pronto Original in the past - you know the one that is an actual powder and I didn't love it because I found the whole powder thing kind of messy.  Then they came out with the Pronto Spray which is great and suitable for light coloured hair but now that my hair is a darker auburn I was thrilled to see that they now have Pronto Invisible for dark hair which sprays clear.  Of course any hair colour can use it but dark haired ladies who have been unhappy with their dry shampoo because of the whitish cast it can cause, will be thrilled!  I have tested it out and can assure you - no white!

I have gotten Oscar Blandi products at Sephora in the past but it seems to be pretty hit and miss as to whether they would have them in stock or not so how pleased was I when I discovered that The Shopping Channel carries some of the line including the new dry shampoo!

Oscar Blandi Girl-on-the-Go Set - $35.50 - includes the dry shampoo (142g) as well as the Instant Glossing Cream (125ml) which is perfect for my fine hair because it adds shine without adding any weight as well as taming frizzies and flyaways!

I also tried out the Oscar Blandi Lacca Hairspray - for volume, hold & shine - 192g - $25 - its key ingredient is sugar, which it never would have occurred to me to add to hairspray but apparently it is a natural humectant and moisturizing ingredient, helps make hair more manageable and static-free.  It also contains honey extract - a natural source of anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals and amino acids to nourish hair, vitamin E - a powerful anti-oxidant that helps protect hair from environmental damage and panthenol (Vitamin B5) to plump and moisturize the hair shaft, making it appear thicker and reduces split ends.  Despite a couple of "sticky" sounding ingredients, it left my hair totally touchable and it smells great!  There was also a set with the full sized hairspray as well as a travel size (52g)  for only $2 more and will give you one for your purse for touch ups!

I also came across this product when I was poking around the site which I thought was different - Pronto Colore Root Touch-Up & Highlighting Pen - $25 - in 6 colours.  It's waterproof, free of ammonia and peroxide and has conditioners in it.  I just think it looks like an interesting (and quick) alternative to using a root-touch up hair colour or those grease sticks that can look so unflattering.  Any one ever tried this or something similar to it?
