Conceal with a cream - with Boxx Cosmetics, Pür Minerals and Avon!

Boxx Cream Corrector - $26 - in 6 shades: 4 skin colours as well as a yellow and green shade - it's versatile and easy to use - blending seamlessly into the skin, effectively camouflaging dark circles, broken capillaries, sun damage, blemishes, redness and any other skin imperfection with a velvety finish.

As well, it assists in repairing age related skin damage and helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles by helping to enhance collagen production.

They also suggest using it as a foundation by mixing a small amount with water for a sheer and tinted effect, or with an emollient (any cream or oil you would normally use on your face) to create an infinite spreading foundation. Also doubles as a primer for anywhere on the face - eyes included!

Composed of a blend of ceramides, peptides and a botanical extract to effectively help reduce the appearance of wrinkles. This triple action complex works on multiple levels: communication, stimulation and re-modeling. Collagen production is stimulated, cellular communication is enhanced, specifically the reparation of age related damage, and the architecture of the dermis is re-organized to create a tightening from within effect. The formulation also includes light diffusing pigments to camouflage your imperfections, as well as micro-sponges to help ensure a natural, non-greasy feel and finish.

You'll be happy to note it contains no: Parabens, Formeldehyde Donors, Phtalates, Gluten, Animal derived ingredients or Oils!

I really like the texture and feel of this concealer, it works great at covering redness and blemishes. What I don't like is the packaging - on it's own, it comes in a flimsy, clamshell type package that's a bitch to open. What they want is for you to also buy the interchangeable compact which is magnetic so you can mix and match what you put in it. The smallest compact would fit two of these concealers so you would either have half of it empty or have to spring for another concealer - great if you are thinking of also getting one of the colour correcting ones - I just wouldn't want to house the concealer in a compact with a powder product, it would get all mixed in the concealer and make a mess!

Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Concealer - $25 - in 3 shades: Light, Medium or Tan - helps conceal unsightly eye lines, dark circles and blemishes with this anti-aging and anti-blemish formula that contains built-in skin correcting ingredients.

The light shade is great for pale people with a bit of a pink undertone - I find too often that light concealers have a yellow undertone that just doesn't work on my skin! The texture is light and smooth and I appreciate the added anti-blemish aspect of it!

Available exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart.
Avon Ideal Flawless Concealer Stick - $7.99 - available in 9 shades: Fair, Neutral, Light Medium, Medium, Medium Deep, Deep, Chestnut, Ebony and Mahogany - a creamy formula that offers even and undetectable coverage of dark under-eye circles and imperfections.

It's hard to get that kind of colour range in concealers so if you find yourself hard to match in the traditional light/medium/dark choices, this is one to consider!

Available from your Avon rep - 1-800-265-AVON or online at www.avon.ca

  1. I have the ideal flawless concealer stick. It doesn't conceal well.
I have it in fair, not sure if Id need a darker one. Maybe that's the issue.
I'll try it in light medium next time.
