More BB Creams - these ones from Boscia, Stila and Dior!

It would seem that the BB Cream trend isn't going anywhere anytime soon - actually it just keeps growing with new brands entering the market all the time! We've featured them before but but with the warm weather coming fast and my love of keeping things light and easy, I'm expecting them to become a staple of my summer makeup routine -  so here is a bunch that I have been trying and eying for for your BBing pleasure!

Boscia B.B. Cream - 50g - $46 - this oil-free multi-tasker creates a lustrous, radiantly flawless finish as it hydrates, firms and heals the skin. As well, it diminishes the appearance of pores, fine lines and uneven skin tone for a radiant, youthful glow. With a silky, smooth coverage that is long-wearing and buildable, it creates a flawless, even-toned lustrous finish to the complexion and instantly conceals imperfections using a self-adjusting universal shade formula that warms to complement your skin tone.

The texture and the feel of the cream are nice but sadly, as with all of them that don't come in a range of shades, it's too dark for my skin. If you are fair and want to add a bit of tone to your skin you'll be fine but if you like to match, you're out of luck! Apparently it only self-adjusts if you have a skin tone something other than "corpse"!

Available at The Shopping Channel - www.theshoppingchannel.com and Sephora.
Stila Stay All Day 10-in-1 HD Beauty Balm - 45ml - $49 - an oil and paraben free priming beauty balm that visibly improves the look and feel of skin and creates an impeccable canvas for flawless makeup application that is ideal for all skin types and tones. With a high definition formula that glides onto the skin and leaves a silky, powdery finish that helps reduce pore size and provides oil and blemish control. Contains innovative micro spheres which have been shown to hide skin imperfections and reduce wrinkle depth by up to 84%, enriched with Tripeptide-37, bamboo and pea extracts which help diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and natural skin-protecting emollients which have been shown to increase anti-oxidant activity by up to 89.7% as well as an exclusive complex which helps reduce redness and skin irritation.

Even though it again only comes in one shade, this one is a little more forgiving and I can barely see it on my skin! The feel is very soft and it has a nice scent to it so I'm calling this one a winner!

Available at Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty Boutiques and Murale.
Dior Hydra Life BB Creme - 50ml - $65 - preserves the freshness of the skin while smoothing, evening out and illuminating the complexion. You can't beat Dior for luxury and expect no less from their foray into the BB Cream market. What I appreciate about this one is that it has an actual SPF in it - saving you a step! I've been haunting my local Dior counters in order to try it without success but I can kind of tell from the picture already that it will be too dark for me!

Are you a BB Cream convert yet? Which ones are you loving, hating and wanting to try?

  1. Hello,

There are so many BB creams now on the market... According to you which is the best one?

    Thanks!

    1. For myself it's been a matter of which ones have a light enough shade to suit me - so that would be Stila, Estee Lauder and Smashbox so far!

  2. Stila sounds perfect but I can't justify spending $49 for a BB! Even if it is a 10-in-1... it's only going to replace 2 of what I do use and 1 that I should probably use. Maybe Olay will come out with some along the lines of their Total Effects varieties. My oily skin is not loving the BB creams so far. :(

    1. Then you'll be happy to know there is an oil-free version in the works from I believe L'Oreal!

  4. The Sephora @Eaton Centre has the DIOR BB Cream...I asked for a sample to test drive it and I LOVE it! True it only comes in one colour so those on the palest end of the spectrum may find it a bit dark but for my medium toned skin it was a dream. I love the texture, the coverage, all those built in benefits...what I don't love however is the price tag, $65 is a little steep indeed. I also picked up the NARS Radiant and do like it very much, the more I use it, the better my skin adapts. Worth a sample if you haven't already done so.

    Thanks, Lisa
