I tried a couple of the softer colours - both of which are a bit too light to really suit my pale complexion but what I did get a good gauge of is just how moisturizing these glosses are - perfect for a cold winter day when you might be tempted to just go with a balm!
I've also gotten word from a new friend who tried Violet Beauty that it also has the milky cast to it - I guess even though the colours look brighter in the tube, once they mix with the moisture ribbon they soften a lot!

I like to use the Glimmering Champagne dabbed just in the center of my bottom lip to lighten up and add dimension to darker shades of lip stick. It looks really good with a full red lip!
