Fragrant Friday - CLEAN Cotton T-Shirt

Next to citrus and green, my favorite fragrance note is "clean". It's a hard smell to describe - especially when you are trying to explain to your husband what kind of perfume he should buy you  - some people would say "soapy" - for me it's a bit more than that. I liken a clean scent to things like the smell of fresh laundry or skin after a shower - there is a soap element to it but a lot of other elements as well. Anyhow for years there was a lack of clean-like smells so I stuck with White Linen but it seems that over the years other people have discovered the joys of smelling "clean" and indeed a whole brand dedicated to all things CLEAN was born!

CLEAN Cotton T-Shirt  - 60ml - $69 - this scent totally meets my clean scent requirements. With notes of: Bergamot, Fresh Laundry Accord, Clean Aldehydes, Dewy Freesia, Cotton Flower, Rosewood, Sheer Amber, Warm Musks and Touch of Vetiver.

I think it smells just like a good-smelling boyfriend's t-shirt would smell like but probably if he only wore it for an hour or so, not all day!

Actually, I don't think I've tried a CLEAN scent yet that I don't like! If you think the line sounds like something you'd like, Sephora has a set of 4 - 30ml bottles of Cotton T-Shirt, Fresh Laundry, Warm Cotton and Shower Fresh for $70 - http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P296506 - which is a fabulous deal! You can find some of the CLEAN scents at The Shopping Channel - www.theshoppingchannel.com as well - they come and go so you have to keep an eye out!

  1. I love smelling CLEAN too, which makes me wonder if it wouldn't be cheaper just to smell like soap & water :)
