Stranded on a desert island... with Beauty Crazed (that's me)!

I knew those Beauty Spotlight bitches were plotting something when they offered to send me on a tropical vacation... it just never occurred to me that the trip would be one way!

Not to worry, I packed my hammock, a vast supply of Cherry Coke, there's a lifetime's worth of trashy reading on my Kobo and Previously Pale even left me the sunscreen that she doesn't need any more so I'm all set!

Luckily, I had also packed all of the beauty products I can't live without and would want to be stranded on a deserted island with so now all I need to do is find an icemaker and I'm set...

When the others got stranded those wimps took 12 products with them but as I am fortunately already possessing a whole butt-load of natural beauty and don't need as much help I only brought 6 - those being:

La Roche-Posay Hydreane BB Cream in Light - I have really come to love BB creams and this is the one I've been wearing all the time lately because not only does it do the usual colour correcting and moisturizing thing, it also adds a subtle and flattering glow to the skin! It's also a light shade that actually is light so blends in perfectly!
Smashbox Love Me Eyeshadow Palette in Entice Me - it's been a long time since I've bought a new eyeshadow but I loved the colours and finishes in this one so much, that I added it to my collection! What I really like about it is unlike regular palettes where you get 5 shadows all the same size but end up using all of the neutral ones and only some of the brighter/darker colours, this palette sizes everything accordingly and the lighter shades that you are likely to use more of are 3 times the size of the funkier colours!
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Sweetheart - with the best of both worlds - colour and moisture that really doesn't budge! I especially love this bright pink shade, it really perks up your face and makes it unnecessary to wear a lot of other makeup!
Neutrogena Oil-Free Cleansing Wipes Pink Grapefruit - grapefruit has got to be my fave scent for just about anything and as an added bonus, these cloths do a great job of removing grime and makeup - heavenly!
John Frieda Anytime Volume Refresher - seawater is no good for washing hair in so I'm expecting my fine hair to look like crap but since there aren't any mirrors (or people) I've decided not to care. When it gets to be too much though I'm going to count on my trusty friend - dry shampoo - and this one is especially great because it gets rid of the greasy look and adds volume all in one go!
And just so you don't think that there isn't anything new (to me) that I love - here's a masque I've been trying that I'm definitely going to need because all this hot weather is sure to mess up my skin!
SkinCeuticals Clarifying Clay Masque - 60ml - $50 - helps eliminate excess sebum while gently exfoliating dead skin cells. With natural earth clays with a hydroxy acid blend  to unclog pores, lift impurities and oils and exfoliate the skin - making it perfect for congested or oily skin.

Use it once a week to help remove exfoliated skin buildup or twice a week if you tend to have clogged pores - I've been using it twice a week but one of those days only in areas where I have pore issues so chin, nose and forehead - and after sever weeks of use now, I do find my pores look a lot clearer and therefore less noticeable!

Available from dispensing doctors, medical spas and high-end spas. Check out www.skinceuticals.com/canada to find one near you.
And unless I can find an internet connection on one of these palm trees you might have heard the last of me...

  1. Finally, Beauty Crazed gets stranded, and I especially love 2 of your choices: La Roche Posay BB Cream - I know you are pale, so if you say it is light enough for you, then I know it's light enough for a fellow pale face like me. And the Revlon Just Bitten balm stain in Sweetheart is my fave shade too. It also works well on fair skin :)

    1. You do need to try the BB Cream, the colour is great and the illuminating factor gives you a "lit from within" look! So happy you agree about Sweetheart - it really is the perfect shade for the fair!

    1. I told him to take a hike, the upside to being stranded is not having to put up with men! ;-)

    2. ROFLMAO!!! Taking a hike might be the most painful punishment given that he has no feet-- hilarious and wicked visual. You do have a good point!! :D

  3. I'm very impressed you only took 6, I think I need to somehow come across some magical all in one colour palette to be able to stick to 12 :)
