More BB Creams worth trying from La Roche Posay, IMAN, Garnier and Marcelle!

The more BB Creams I try, the more I like them - they are just such fabulous multi-taskers - by themselves on good skin days and under foundation on days when my skin needs a little extra help! Here's what's new and interesting in the BB Cream world:

La Roche Posay Hydreane BB Creme - 40ml - $29 - if you've been looking for soothing, strengthening 12 hour hydration that unifies and illuminates then this BB Creme will be your most favourite thing ever!

What makes this one really different is the high concentration of La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water it contains which makes it great for delicate and sensitive skin - the skin types that most need to camouflage redness but often can't use the products that will achieve this because of irritation issues.

Even my non-sensitive skin loves this BB Creme - the light shade really is light and blends perfectly into my skin and it leaves the most beautiful glow. I'm not sure if my combo skin will want a glow come the hot weather and its natural tendency to look "glowy" (read greasy) but for my normal and winter-pasty looking skin right now, it adds a perfect amount of dewiness that makes my skin look perfectly illuminated!

In Light and Medium shades and available in pharmacies now.
IMAN Skin Tone Evener BB Creme SPF 15 - 30ml - $24 - great for all skin types in 6 shades to suit a range of skin tones: Sand Light, Sand medium, Clay Medium, Clay Medium Deep, Earth medium and Earth Deep - all offer a semi sheer tint that blends undetectably into the skin with a creamy texture that dries down to a satin finish. With a paraben-free formula that offers an even, radiant complexion with natural skin brightening extracts that counteract hyperpigmentation; protection against sun and environmental damage with SPF 15; semi-sheer mineral enriched pigments; hydration with essential botanical oils and fatty acids that absorb naturally into skin; and a healthy complexion with vitamins A, E & C and aloe to smooth skin's tone and texture.

I'm super impressed by the range of shades - it's not often you can find a line that both Christelle and I can find a match from! I also really like the feel of it, it's really, really light and once it's on your skin and because the colour match is so good, it doesn't look like anything is on my skin at all!

Available online at imancosmetics.com, drugstore.com and all counter locations including Sears in Canada and Walgreens in the States.
Garnier Skin Renew BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector for Combination to Oily Skin - 60ml - $19.99- tackles shine, reduces the look of pores and covers imperfections while maintaining hydration and providing UV protection. Contains a new active ingredient for oily skin: mineral Perlite - a volcanic rock extract known for its ultra-absorbing properties that is able to retain up to 2.5X its weight in oil/water and is 5X more absorbent than talc while being quick drying for an instant matte effect.

I love the sound of this - it sounds like it would be perfect for me come summer but sadly, it only comes in Medium Light and Dark Medium both of which are too dark for me! Garnier if you're listening, we need a Light Light shade please!

Available now for you non pale-people at drugstores and mass retailers across Canada.
Marcelle has added a couple of new products to their BB line, both containing their renowned 8 in 1 multi-benefit effects:

Marcelle BB Cleanser - $16.95 - with a no-rinse, oil and perfume-free formula that removes BB cream while cleansing, and overnight complements your daytime BB cream.

Marcelle BB Roll-On Concealer - $20.95 - in light to medium or medium to dark - an easy to use corrector and highlighter with a metal ball for precise application while providing a cooling effect on contact with the skin.

Available in-store or online at www.marcelle.com

  1. I love Marcelle's BB cream, but find it hard to believe that the concealer costs more than the BB cream itself :(.

  2. Going to try the La Roch Posay BB. Its the first one to come from a skin care company so I actually believe the skin care benefit claims :)

  3. Yves Rocher has a new one as well that I think I might try. But I'm also very curious about CC creams - I bet those will start popping up all over the place in the coming months as well.
