The slim design makes it easy to slip in a pocket or small purse and the slated tip makes it easy to apply - of course keep in mind that the slim design makes it very easy to lose in a large purse!
What I really like is the balm's finish - unlike some lip products with SPF that can look quite dull, this one has a bit of shine to it and can be used as a primer for lipstick or on top of it to add some sheen!

Does it taste/smell as bad as normal carmex? It looks so much classier!
