Baby your skin with Johnson & Johnson, Burt's Bees, Live Clean and Huggies!

It may seem strange to those of us who don't have kids, but shopping in the the baby care aisle can be very beneficial to you skin! Here are a few of my discoveries:

Johnson's Bedtime Bath - 444ml - $6.99 - releases NaturalCalm essences to help baby (and you) sleep better. If you have sensitive skin, baby bath stuff is a great choice since they are designed for super sensitive skin!
Burt's Bees Baby Bee Bubble Bath - 350ml - $10.99 - with soy proteins, Vitamin B and essential minerals not to mention an amazing honey smell!
Live Clean Baby Soothing Relief Lotion - 227ml - $6.99, 750ml - $12.99 - with 98% plant ingredients it's free of all the crap you don't want on baby's or your skin - so no petroleum, phthalates or phosphates - contains soothing oatmeal and chamomile which are both great for dry irritated skin. - this one is actually a favourite of my husband's for it's pleasant yet extremely subtle smell as he is not a fan of fragranced lotions. Also available in this new line is a Soothing Relief Wash - 300ml - $6.99, 750m - $12.99; Soothing Relief Diaper Ointment - 74g - $6.99; and Soothing Relief Non-Petroleum Jelly - 120g - $6.99. Available at Loblaw's and Walmart across Canada.
Huggies Natural Care Wipes - 72 wipes - $4.99 - with aloe and vitamin E these fragrance free wipes and nice and thick which are great for getting makeup off the whole face. I actually tried these by accident - I was traveling and realized that I have forgotten my face wash. The only store anywhere close was a gas station which did not have much of a "beauty" section. They did however carry baby items including these wipes so I figured they would be better than nothing - lo and behold they actually did a very decent job of taking off the makeup. The only thing they don't work on is waterproof mascara, but work fine for the regular stuff. If you like face wipes and are trying to save some money these are a budget friendly option - even more so if you buy the huge packs that are available!

Have any "baby" skin care tips to share? Please do! I expect people who actually have/had babies know all the secrets!

  2. I expect it's good for potion control but I can't imagine it would be very nice texture wise, unless you like everything pureed! ;-)

    Best, Lisamarie
