2 coats on the left, bare on the right - and now I remember what I don't like about volumizing mascaras - they always look clumpy to me so I want to comb them - of course if you comb them you lose the volumizing and they still don't have length so it just ends up being some colour on your lashes. Objectively, I can see this isn't clumpy looking but it's still making my combing fingers itch! On the plus side, the brush is nice, I actually applied this for the first time sitting at lunch (Dear Abby would be appalled, I know) without benefit of a mirror and it was a cinch!
Here's a close up angled view - as you can see there's no dramatic length with this one but I am getting nice volume. If you want to see what it looks like on cute little Asian lashes, check out my loserish friend Arianne over at The Glitter Geek to see her swatches!

I have the same issue with volumizing mascaras. I stick to lengthening ones. My present fave is Kiehl's Mineral Mascara. Not a clump or thick spider leg lash in sight.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely doesn't skimp on volume but would've loved some lengthening too. Never mind that spider lashes are on trend, I'm sticking to combing.
ReplyDeleteWow, big difference.
ReplyDeleteI liked the effect on eyelashes.
