Orange blush - love it or hate it? Benefit Cha Cha Tint and Sleek MakeUP Aruba Blush swatches!

I'm a big fan of the colour orange - love it on my lips but never even considered wearing it on my cheeks. But since I'm willing to try anything once, I decided to give orange blush a go!
Benefit Cha Cha Tint is the newest member of the tint line. They call it mango coloured which really is just a fancy way of saying orange right?! If you haven't used one of their tints before, it has an applicator and consistency much like nail polish but without the horrible smell!

It goes on super orange but as you can see when blended, it becomes very wearable. It's also buildable - the left hand picture is one coat, the right is two coats. I'm also partial to the tints because they give your skin a bit of a glow which gives it more of a natural as opposed to "makeup" look.

Sleek MakeUP Aruba Blush - it doesn't get much more orange than this stuff - it's scary bright in the compact and I must admit, it took a lot of trial and error to figure out how to blend this properly so I didn't look like a circus clown!

It takes just the tiniest amount for mega impact - if I decided to make this my one and only blush, it would last me the rest of my life! I expect this orange would be better suited to someone less fair - or fair people who like high impact blush! Again we have one coat on the left, two on the right.

So what do you think about orange blush - something you do, would do or will pass on?!

  1. I LOVE orange blush! I especially like the look of the sleek makeUP aruba blush in the photos above. Another really great one is MAC's powder blush in Style (which claims to be a "coral peach" but is totallyyy orange), which pairs fabulously with MAC's pro longwear lipstick in Good to Go for a pseudo-monochromatic look. Gorgeous! -MB

  5. I think the sleek is quite wearable on you in this photo! A sort of late-70s Miami look. I'm thinking of putting in an order -- any other must-haves? Thanks!

  6. LOL, thanks! The pout polishes are nice and if you want highly pigmented, bright shadows, the summer palette is great!
