Old Navy Studio Spotlight - Kim Brennecke

Just in time for summer Old Navy has launched Studio Spotlight - a new sub brand that features product developed by Old navy's talented designers, in select stores and at www.oldnavy.ca.

New capsule collections will launch every other month, with each highlighting the unique designer personalities behind the Old Navy brand.

First up and available now is San Francisco-based Kim Brennecke (referred to by friends as "Kim B" each piece includes a small bee icon) is Old Navy’s women’s designer and debuts Studio Spotlight with a nine piece ‘Victorian chic’ capsule collection ranging from $16.94-$39.94. The collection combines Victorian heirloom with masculine military featuring vintage detailing and elevated trims.

Kim’s collection pieces include: White sleeveless gathered-neck tea length dress - $39.94; Cuffed sateen shorts - $29.94 (in schooner blue or rust); Sateen khaki pants - $39.94 (in schooner blue and olive), Woven flutter top, $29.94 (in vibrant green or off-white); Lace inset tank - $19.94 (in off-white or ‘silver blaze’); Chiffon pinktuck tank - $19.94 (in white or vibrant green).
And this Drop-waist pintuck front dress - $39.94 in coral (it also comes in off-white) that Kim and I agreed was our favourite piece out of the collection.

The collection’s hues and silhouettes are part of the season’s larger trend stories and mix perfectly with some of Kim’s favourite Old Navy summer pieces like the best tees and ‘pop’ pants. I love this Vintage pink tee - $12.50 - not only is it the softest thing ever and available in tons of colours and necklines, it has no tags or scratchy seams which makes it perfect for layering!

Kim’s Studio Spotlight collection is available at:

Ontario: Toronto Eaton Centre, Yorkdale Mall,  Square One Shopping Centre,  Lime Ridge Mall (Hamilton) and Georgia Mall (Barrie)
Alberta: Chinook Centre, West Edmonton Mall and South Edmonton Mall
and online at www.oldnavy.ca

  1. I don't know why i find the first picture there, funny. Maybe because the mannequin seems to be embracing you on your waist without a head with that half hidden arm of hers. Lol! That great white dress x
