Extra moisture for your skin with a serum - from La Roche-Posay, Perlier, Sephora and Bio-Oil!

As the weather continues to cool down, my hunt for moisturizers that won't weigh my skin down intensifies. Sometimes the easiest and most effective thing to do is to layer a moisturizing serum under my regular moisturizer. A couple of light layers are just as effective as a heavier moisturizer without the heavy feeling! Here are a few that I've been eyeing:

La Roche-Posay Hydraphase Intense Serum - 30ml - $38.50 - a concentrated rehydrating melt-in gel for dehydrated sensitive skin with: Hyaluronic Acid Fragments - to immediately infuse and retain water in the skin for optimal hydration; Arginine + Serine - naturally present in the epidermis to capture water so that the perfect balance is restored; and a high concentration of La Roche-Posay Termal Spring Water - a natural anti-oxidant that is soothing and anti-irritating.

Paraben free for sensitive skin.

What's really nice about it is the fresh gel texture, how quickly it absorbs and how perfectly plump the skin looks and feels after!

Available now at pharmacies across Canada.
Perlier Extreme Regenovive Hydro-Zone Serum - 50ml - $50 -grants perfect moisture to the skin where it is necessary with a formula inspired by the desert Rose, a plant that is able to survive in absolute dryness for a long time and that resuscitates with water - enriched with Trehalose and coconut Oil to capture water and release it to the skin plumping the skin, with moisture improving the appearance of fine wrinkles and signs of fatigue for skin that appears revitalized perfectly smooth, younger and vital.

Available at eBeauty.ca.
Sephora Ultimate Moisture Serum - 30ml - $29 - revitalizes dull and thirsty skin with 3 times the amount of HydroSenn+ - for intense moisture, Java tea extract and light reflecting pigments to restore a bright and radiant complexion as well as energizing ingredients to decrease the signs of fatigue and antioxidants to reduce the appearance of the first signs of aging.

Available at Sephora and sephora.com
Need some extra moisture on a budget? You can't go wrong with:

Bio-Oil - 60ml - $12.99 - with PurCellin Oil which offers not just a great treatment for scars and stretch marks, but it also works perfectly as a light-weight and non-greasy moisturizer for dehydrated skin - also contains Vitamins A & E, calendula, lavender, rosemary & chamomile oils. What makes it super for layering under your moisturizer (or using it on it's own) is how quickly it sinks into your skin, leaving no oily film behind and it's great for all skin types, even sensitive!

Available at major retails across Canada.

  1. La Roche Posay products are extremely kind to sensitive skin. Hydraphase Intense Serum provides extra moisture to skin that needs a boost. It's worth a try for those needing added moisture-in a serum formula- during the colder winter.
