The Body Shop introduces DeoDry - I'll bet you never knew a volcano could stop sweat!

There's something new at The Body Shop today and if the weather where you are is as hot as it is here in Toronto, it will go to the top of your list for new things to try!  The Body Shop has just launched a new deodorant collection - DeoDry - free of aluminum salts, parabens and other pore-clogging ingredients that are usually used to stop you from sweating - but rather keeps you dry with a unique technology that features natural volcanic mineral in an ultra-fine powder with has a remarkable water absorption capacity.  The powder absorbs wetness so your underarms stay fresh and dry for up to 24 hours and won't leave white marks on your clothing.  DeoDry deodorants also contain a blend of essential oils which provide a natural anti-bacterial effect.

They come in two formulas - roll-on or stick and cost $8 each - both formulas come in three fragrances - Cool & Zesty - a unisex citrus fragrance with lemon and thyme essential oils, Chilled & Breezy - a fresh aquatic fragrance and Fresh & Floral - a feminine fragrance with rose and camomile essential oil.  Even cooler, the roll-on has a refill option for $6 and all of the DeoDry line contain Community Trade ingredients - aloe vera from Guatemala and alcohol from Ecuador - trade with Community Trade farmers helps them receive a regular income - it's nice to feel good about your armpits, isn't it?!

Stay tuned for Christelle's review, we all know how much she loves deodorants so she will be all over this one!

  1. I wouldn't expect deodorant from The Body Shop! The idea of natural ingredients is nice, but I have one of those 'crystal; deos and it's worse than nothing!

  2. I'm with you on the crystal ones Kat - they are crap! This one looks more interesting because it's just like a normal stick or roll-on - and really, if you have a volcano backing you up, can you really go wrong? ;-)

    Best, Lisamarie

  3. I can't wait to read Christelle's review. I just bought one of the floral ones today but have to finish my current deodorant before I start using the new one.

  4. I like the crystal deodorant the best too! I get mine from Thann at their store in Ottawa - but you can buy it online at www.thann.ca as well. its cheap and it lasts forever! And it works!
