Cleansers that surprise from Biotherm, LaRocca and Chanel!

Whether it's formulas that transform themselves or usual ingredients, all of these cleansers have something interesting about them that make them a little different then your usual run-of-the-mill face wash!

Biotherm Biosource Self-Foaming Cleansing Water - 150ml - $28 -  a light, foaming texture which transforms into a smooth and delicate cream which gently purifies and cleanses the skin for an invigorating and purifying result suitable for the most delicate and sensitive of skin. The soap-free formula softens the skin without leaving it dry and of course contains Biotherm's signature technology - thermal plankton cellular water which is rich in 36 vital nutrients and possesses an active regeneration power while maintaining a respectful, soothing nature.

LaRocca Exfoliating Cream Cleanser - 120ml - $49.50 - contains 24K gold to gently exfoliate skin while moisturizing and stimulating collagen growth leaving skin smooth and firm; diatomaceous earth to exfoliate; orange peel to moisturize and energize; green tea extract to defend against free radicals; and chamomile extract to help retain moisture.

On the days I'm slumming it and can't wash my face with platinum, gold makes an adequate substitute... but seriously, I thought the whole concept was kinda weird and that they were wasting perfectly good Goldschlager additives for nothing until I tried it. There is just something decadent about knowing you are rubbing gold all over your face! I love a cream cleanser during the colder months and the addition of an exfoliant makes this the perfect cleanser to battle dry flaky skin!

Chanel Sublimage Essential Comfort Cleanser - 150ml - $98 -  starts as a gel then transforms into an oil that offers incomparable effectiveness, comfort and gentle purifying. With camellia and jojoba oils, the unique formula soothes as it gently removes makeup.

I have a similar cleanser from Clarins which I bought when oil cleansers were first becoming such a big thing. I was a little leery to try straight oil on my face so I thought a transforming one was a good compromise. This Chanel one sounds like the same kind of deal and I've really enjoyed the Clarins one so I think this could be coming home with me next time I'm at the Chanel counter!

  2. I personally believe that cleansers are a very important part of every skincare regime. However, I don't agree with people buying expensive ones that contain *Miraculous* ingredients. Because we all know that this cleanser will be washed off, so whatever it contains will not stay on your skin, and you'll not benefit from it.
