Lighten up your spring foundation with Estée Lauder, CoverGirl and NARS!

Since you're lightening up your wardrobe anyhow, it's a great time to think nixing the heaving winter foundation for something a little more spring-like! Whether you ike something liquidy, prefer your serum included or want to go old school with a tinted moisturizer, there is something new for everyone - and you'll also appreciate the great range of shades they all have!

Estée Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup - 30ml - $42.50 - with an impressive range of 15 shades so all skintones and ethnicities can have their true-to-life shade match with a technologically advanced intuitive makeup that works with your skin's natural undertones leaving skin looking fresh, flawless and radiantly perfected in every light. With a weightless, air-infused formula that lets skin breathe as well as being oil and alcohol free, it contains hyaluronic acid to provide all day hydration and to help keep your makeup from caking or settling.

What you will notice the most is the ultra-thin formula which needs to be shaken well before using. This blends the makeup and entraps micronized air particles giving it the look of airbrushing for soft-focused, natural, flawless looking skin.

Because the formula is so thin, I had better luck applying it with a sponge and then blending it with my brush, when I tried applying it directly to my brush, it dripped all over the place and made a mess! If you love the feel of a light foundation, you'll be in love with this one but if you love full coverage, you won't, I found it to not only feeling light but also the coverage.
CoverGirl & Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation - 30ml - $16.99 -  one pump instantly covers discolourations, lines and wrinkles while one bottle hydrates to help improve skin tone over time. New Soft Focus technology optically blurs visible contrast edges and smoothes out rough surfaces, while working with light to create a radiant, soft focus effect. Simultaneously, Olay serum effectively penetrates skin's outer layers for improved skin tone over time. In 14 shades: Ivory, Classic Ivory, Creamy Natural, Nude Beige, Medium Beige, Warm Beige, Creamy Beige, Buff Beige, Natural Beige, Soft Honey, Golden Tan, Classic Tan, Tawny and Soft Sable.

Don't let the swirly bit throw you off and make you think that this will be a heavy feeling foundation, quite the opposite in fact! Not only does the serum do all kinds of wonderful things for your skin, the addition of it to the foundation actually helps it feel and look lighter! That being said, I find this formula buildable so you can get more coverage - so if that's what you're after - this is your best choice out of the 3 here.
NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer - 30ml - $49 - Infused with naturally derived ingredients that instantly hydrate and even skin tone, and have been shown to reduce the appearance of discoloration
and dark spots with regular use for a clearer and brighter complexion. The luxurious, oil-free formula obscures the appearance of lines, wrinkles, pores and other imperfections while providing a translucent veil of color. With a buildable formula can be used as an alternative to foundation — on weekends, when a more casual look is desired, or in summer, when a lighter consistency is preferred — or in combination with Powder Foundation for those who want more coverage and added hydration. As a
result, skin is soft and smooth to the touch. It looks natural and glowing. Almost bare, but better. is available in nine shades to complement all skin tones.

2 Alaska - Light with a neutral balance of pink and yellow undertones
3 St. Moritz - Medium with a neutral yellow undertone
4 Annapurna - Medium with a neutral peachy undertone
