Of course showing you everything in it would take a lifetime - so let's zero in on the second drawer on the bottom left hand side which is where I keep all of limited edition palettes and pretties. These are ones never to be touched by human hand, only to be looked at and admired.
My husband is at a total loss as to the point of having a drawer full of items whose purpose it to not be used - but he's a man so what does he know! I know you all understand so come on in and stay awhile!
My latest collecting has been these perfectly gorgeous palettes that Lancôme keeps putting out!
Lancôme La Rose Deco Rose Complexion - Blooming Glow in 01 Rosy Glow
Lancôme La Roseraie Illuminating Smooth Powder
Lancôme Blush Highlighter Illuminating Powder Face and Decollete in 001
Maison Lancôme Gentle and Long Lasting Powder Blusher
Lancôme Butterlies Fever Healthy Glow Mineral Blusher in 01 Glowy Ballerine
Dior Night Diamond Allover Diamond Dust in 001
Estée Lauder Re-Nutriv Intense Comfort Pressed Powder in 01 Transparent
Dior Addicted to Dior Jeweled Lip Gloss Duo in 002 Addicted to Pink
I don't know why Dior doesn't do it anymore, but they used to put out charms that were the prettiest way to hold a lipgloss!
Dior Cristal Borale - from Holiday 2009
Dior Play - from Summer 2007
Diorlight Ball Pendant - from Holiday 2007
Dior Pretty Charms - from Spring 2008
These Dior palettes deserve a closer look....
Dior Tailleur Bar Eyeshadow Palette
Love Dior Eyeshadow Palette
Dior Flower Blossom Floral Illuminating Powders for Face
And what would life be without Chanel? The first brand I started collecting and one that I will continue to as long as they keep making lust-worthy palettes...
Chanel Lumiere d'Artifices Beiges Illuminating Powder with Shimmer
Chanel Lumiere d'Artifices Iridescent Powders for Eyes and Cheeks
Jeans de Chanel - I made my husband drive 2 hours across town in rush hour to score the last one at the Chanel boutique!
4 Camelias de Chanel Lips in Roses
4 Fleurs de Chanel Eyes in Feeries
Chanel Ombres Tissees Iridescent Effects Eyes in Beiges
Lumiere Sculptee de Chanel Highlighting Powder
Les Perles de Chanel Pearl Face Effects in 89 Surprises
Les Perles de Chanel Pearl Face Effects
You suspect there is more don't you? Sigh - you're right but I'm embarrassed to admit just how much more there is! For starters, I used to be very into the MAC holiday palettes but they're a whole other post... there is also some random brands that I don't necessarily collect but sometimes have palettes so pretty that I can't resist but I figure you've seen enough of my sick obsession for one day...

ReplyDeleteHoly smokes - everything you showed here is so gorgeous! I would love to steal your collection ;)
ReplyDeleteI think that Pink Sith is going to be flying to Canada to steal these!! I actually had several of those but I don't anymore. You make me feel less guilty though for my hoarding since you share it.
ReplyDeleteI have purposely kept my address a secret from Elvira for that very reason! ;-) I'm concerned now, where did yours go?

Such pretty palettes - I can see why you'd keep them just to look at. The Lancome ones are gorgeous - and now I'm getting the urge to collect some more Chanel - good enabling LOL :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm here to help! ;-)

wow I love everything! Please do tell where you got that beautiful white makeup table?
ReplyDeleteThe rest of the room is a custom closet so when they built that, I had them build me the dressing table because I couldn't find one with enough drawers in a store! ;-)

What a gorgeous setup! Real Hollywood-style glamor. As for your hands-off, drawer of wonderful pretties, little does your husband know that one day you will be able to pay for a very comfortable retirement when you auction off those goodies on eBay. :^)
ReplyDeleteAuction off? What are you talking about?! I'm being buried with them! ;-)

Wow, what gorgeous palettes!!! More importantly...you vanity...I LOVE it!!!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I don't see the benefit in purchasing and not personally using your make-up. However, since I am having the pleasure of getting to see these - some for the first time - then I guess it makes sense. Still, I'm with your husband on this one. Thanks for sharing:)
ReplyDeleteI love those Chanel pearls - I never saw them and have been using Chanel for many years - like since the late 80's - I would use them everyday - I want those beautys - so jealous
ReplyDeleteForget the makeup, I am in love with your dressing table! Was it custom?
ReplyDeleteYup! I couldn't find anything in store with as much storage space and drawers as I wanted!

Wow, what a stunningly gorgeous treasure of a collection! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your insanity - LOL :D
ReplyDeleteVery impressive set up you've got there, and the palettes are so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThe only pretty palette I have (which I'm currently using) is the Hello Kitty Graffiti one. You've inspired me to want to get the upcoming NARS x Andy Warhol collection palettes.
Thanks for sharing your collection and makeup area!
LOve the gloss charms...mmmm.
ReplyDeleteThat is just..wow..so many pretties all together :)
ReplyDeleteMy goodness I am in love with your dressing table and setup!
ReplyDeleteWow! Where did you get your dresser?!! I absolutley love it!
ReplyDeleteWow--this is seriously AMAZING! I am in awe :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
ReplyDeleteThe makeup is impressive but what I really love is your dressing table. I'm trying to figure out how I could incorporate that, or a close approximation, into the area my pathetic makeup table sits.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I am amazed to see two items I have - Jeans de Chanel and the pastel Perles. I, too, love your set up; alas, I have no space for such luxury!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with your dressing table! Can I ask where you got it?
ReplyDeleteOooooh - thanks for sharing. It is great to know that other people have ridiculous amount of make up too :-) Where did you get the Chanel Lumiere d'Artifices Iridescent Powders for Eyes and Cheeks from?
ReplyDeletethose are super duper lovely babies <3
ReplyDeleteHi, would you possibly sell those Chanel powders? Please let me know.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
