Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...nope, still shame on you Marc Jacobs!

I will be the first to admit I'm a packaging whore - you can put almost anything into a cute package and I'm all over it!

Take a look at Marc Jacobs - Lola - looks awesome doesn't it?!  That's what I thought, until I saw it in person... I'm sorry to say it's like people (read, celebrities) who photograph beautifully but in person look like crap.  Lola is the hot-celebrity-without-makeup of the fragrance world.  The problem is that in person, the bottle looks cheap - the flower part on top that I thought would be a hard plastic is this tacky rubber material.  And it smells as good as it looks.

I find this especially disappointing because I have been looking forward to this launch for months now ever since I first saw the picture in Cosmetics magazine.  I just thought it was the prettiest bottle I had seen in ages.

This of course is following the great Daisy disappointment of 2007.  Again I loved the bottle, and still loved it enough in person that I would have bought it if the fragrance wasn't so vile.  I wasn't expecting much, I knew if would be a floral (which if you will recall, I don't care for) but this was bad, bad, BAD floral.  I have my limits - which end right around spending over $100 on un-fragrant fragrance.  So I'm sorry Marc Jacobs, you won't be getting any of my fragrance budget now, or if you keep it up, in the foreseeable future!
