Chanel 2009-2010 Métiers d'Art Show - Paris-Shanghai - the important part - the makeup!

We've all seen the fashions and while I think they are glorious I am  always more interested to know what makeup they are wearing!  You're still reading this so you must want to know too so here we go!  The makeup was done by and for some products created by Peter Philips for the show.  He wanted the women to look elegant but still radiate a warrior like force.  Everything was focused on the cheeks and the eyes, as well as on contrasts.

For the show, Peter created an exclusive mini collection - Orient Extreme - Chanel - comprised of Ligne et Ombre de CHANEL Jet-Gold - a duo palette which contains a gold eye shadow and a black eyeliner as well as three new Les Vernis in Black Velvet - an intense black with a velvet effect, not mat, nor shiny, Gold Lamé - a gold and Illusion d’Or a transparent nail polish in which blue and dark purple glitter are combined.  I know what you are thinking - where oh where can I get the exclusive mini collection?!  In this case exclusive means you can't which is a shame because I would love to get my hands on those nail polishes!

This is how the rest of the makeup played out:

The Eyes
With « Ligne et Ombre de CHANEL Jet-Gold » the eyes are done up with gold on all the surface of the eyelid and the arch of the eyebrows. In contrast to this sparkle which provides a halo of light, a graphic stroke of intense Jet black eyeliner, plus the accentuation of the eyebrows drawn with the brow pencil « Sculpte Sourcils », gives to the eyes a highly seductive elegance and boldness.
The Cheeks
On the cheeks, a soft touch of Joues Contraste « Fresque », a pale pink peach, delicately applied in a glowing roundness. Fall 2009 collection. The Mouths
The lips were voluntarily made-up pale with « Rouge Allure Insouciante ». Spring 2010 collection! The Complexions
They were obtained with « Pro Lumière » and the « Poudre Universelle Libre », respecting the models natural skin tone.
The Hands
The nails are lacquered in gold with « Gold Lamé ». On the tips, in a French manicure manner, a thick black line is drawn with the nail polish « Black Velvet ». Here the contrast between black and gold reinforces the warrior attitude of the women whose nails become their weapons. As a top coat, the nail polish « Illusion d’Or » gives a transparent finish.
The Feet
The nails are lacquered with the nail polish « Black Velvet »
