Urban Decay and Shoppers Drug Mart together at last!

Sometimes it pays to live in the 'burbs!  Whitby girls hold on to your hats -  The Whitby Shoppers Drug Mart at 3100 Garden Street will soon be launching Urban Decay!  Friday, January 22nd is the date to mark on your calendars girls!  For you Toronto/GTA ladies wondering if it's worth the drive to Whitby, it sure is for two reasons:  Urban Decay's international makeup artist and worldwide sale's director, Eric Jimenez will be there to beautify you!  You can walk in to see him on the 22nd from 10-12 or book a 45 minute appointment between 12-6.  He is also booking 45 minute appointments on the Saturday (January 23rd) from 12-6pm.  Call the store to book at 905-430-6967.

Reason #2 is that Shoppers will be launching the Spring collection 10 days early - it won't launch at Sephora until February 1st - I don't know about you but I love to be first!  And reason #2A - this Alice in Wonderland palette - I dare you to name something cuter!  And a steal at $62 for 16 shadows, 2 liners and a primer potion!  Now check out the other cool new stuff in the spring collection...

Razor Sharp Ultra Definition Finishing Powder $36 This has definitely got my attention - it's a camera ready powder but without the scary whiteness of MUFE HD.  I read that it has tiny water particles that float along the skin's surface and actually burst creating a microscopic ball bearing effect when the powder is applied.  It can be used on top of foundation to set it and keep you shine free, by itself or actually under foundation to transform it to a liquid powder.  The packaging seems promising too, could be less messy then other camera ready powders.  I'm looking forward to trying this one!

Stardust Eyeshadow - a new prismatic sparkle eyeshadow that comes in 9 shades.  I am told that not only are they not scratchy but there is no glitter fallout which I find is the biggest downfall of glittery eyeshadows so I am excited to try these too!  They can be used wet and dry and are over twice the size of UD's regular eyeshadows (3.5g).  Not a bad deal for $24!
Four new shades of the 24/7 Pencil that were previously only available in sets: Binge (navy), Mildew (dark green), Oil Slick (black with silver sparkle) and Crash (rich deep eggplant) $20  If you haven't tried the pencil before, check out my review here, they are awesome!

Getting Optimum points on Urban Decay, does it get any better then that?!

  1. Do you know if other Shoppers locations will eventually carry Urban Decay? I live in Toronto, Whitby is a bit of a trek! It'd definitely be great to be able to get Optimum points when purchasing UD!

That Razor Sharp powder definitely sounds interesting, I'm going to have to check that out when it comes out. I'm excited for the new 247 colours too, I'd been wanting Binge and didn't get it with the Super Stash set, it'll be nice to get a full size of it now.

  2. I was told that there are plans to put UD in other SDM stores but there is no timeline on it. I suspect they will wait and see how well it does in Whitby and go from there. Are you going to trek there for the launch?

  4. No, I don't drive so I think it's a bit too far for me, which is a shame because I'd really like to be there for that! It's kind of odd to me they'd launch this in a Whitby store rather than Toronto where I think more people would come out but hopefully it does well there and we'll be seeing UD in more Shoppers locations soon! If you go, you'll have to let us know how it goes! :)
