Hot Pick: LOVAS by Wesley Badanjak, My Canadian Designer du Jour

Lisamarie and I recently discovered LOVAS during a runway show for a Spring 2010 shoe collection. The LOVAS label, created by Canadian designer Wesley Badanjak, is fairly new, it's only been around since 2008 but Wesley has been working closely with established designers like the acclaimed Canadian designer David Dixon.

We love the feminity and softness of this collection, expressed with the use of silk chiffon and flirty dresses.  It's also youthful and fun : with Badanjak's use of plaid and bows in his designs.
Only two boutiques in Canada carry his collection, but you can contact LOVAS for custom work if you are in the Toronto area. I really believe every woman should have at least one custom made dress in her wardrobe but I will talk about it in more detail in a future post!

Kristin Dress, 100% Silk, $425
I'm so in love with this coral dress, it's very flattering, the shape should suit curvy women.

Piped Audrey Dress, 100% Linen, $425

Ivana Coat, 83% Cotton, 17% Viscose, $695

  1. Sorry, but WTF were they thinking with the male models on the runway? so distracting and silly looking. I like that black coat type dress tho!
