Trésor In Love from Lancôme - reinvention never smelled so good!

It's hard to believe that it's been 20 years since Lancôme first introduced Trésor.  Twenty years is a long time, even for a classic, so Lancôme decided it was time to reinterpret the original and give it a modern vision.

Trésor in Love is a unique reworking of the original blend while still keeping the signature rose middle notes, but while Trésor is an oriental floral fragrance, Trésor in Love is a much fruitier version.  The base consists of notes of nectarine, bergamot and tangy pear, warmed by a spicy sprinkling of pink peppercorn.  Subtle hints of peach and violet envelop the harmony in a powdery softness.  The floral middle notes follow, a subtle and ethereal accord of petals, a dewy-fresh crystal bouquet composed around jasmine and turkish rose essence.  The base notes fuse intense, woody cedar and musk.

Now usually when you say the words "rose" and "fragrance" to me in the same sentence you've totally lost my interest.  The original Trésor doesn't appeal to me at all so I had no great expectations for Trésor in Love.  I'm glad I gave it a chance though because it smells amazing!  I smell more of the fruity then the floral and I like what I smell!  It smells quite fruity when I first spray it on and then dries down to a very subtle fruitiness, a bit of floral and a bit of musk.  When I came back from lunch after having sprayed this on a lady in the elevator even commented on the smell and insisted I tell her what I was wearing - that's a first for me!

It comes in a lovely slender bottle that has aspects of the original Trésor bottle but with a modern twist.  A handmade black satin rose adorns the neck of the bottle to add a touch of sensuality

Trésor in Love is available now at all Lancôme counters  in three sizes and would make a great Mother's Day gift for the fragrance loving mom:

75ml - $94
50ml - $75
30ml - $58

  1. I want to try this! My mom wears Tresor so I consider it a more mature fragrance, so I might like this better!
