Deodorants - it's all about the smell! Degree, Secret, Dove and Lavanila

I tend to buy my daytime deodorant more for smell than any other reason.  Not that I sweat less than anyone else but I use one of those clinical strength ones that you put on at night which leaves my armpits free to have a scent party (of the good kind) during the day.  In my quest to find the best smelling one I've tried an awful lot of them and these are some of my faves so far:

DegreeWomen Natureffects - 45g - $4.49 - comes in 3 scents inspired by Mother Nature:  Honeysuckle (known for its natural antibacterial properties) and Tea Tree Oil (know for its refreshing properties), Olive Leaf and Pink Pepper and Orange Flower (recognized as a natural deodorizer) and Cranberry - this was my favourite one, it smells clean with a little bit of a bite from the cranberry.

Secret Scent Expressions - 45g - $4.99 - Comes in a bunch of different scents, several I like a lot - Cherry, Peach but my favourite is the Va Va Vanilla.  Smells just like an ice cream cone!

Dove go fresh - 45g - $4.49 - comes in different scents:  cucumber and green tea, nectarine and ginger and my favourite, grapefruit and lemongrass - I especially appreciate this one for not leaving white marks on my clothes.

Lavanila The Healthy Deodorant - 50g - $23 - comes in pure vanilla, vanilla coconut, vanilla lavender and vanilla grapefruit which is the one I like.  This one is 100% natural and mineral oil and aluminum free.  All I know is it smells amazing!  They also have an entire body and fragrance line in the same scents.

  1. Have you tried any that smell kind of like soap - like fresh-out-of-the-shower clean scent?

  2. Yup! Next to fruit smells, my next favourite is clean smells so here are a few that I can remember: Degree Invisible - fresh oxygen, Secret Flawless Renewal - totally fresh and Lady Speed Stick Invisible - cool & fresh. There are lots that have a baby powder scent that some people consider to be a "fresh" smell but I don't so I didn't include any of those here.

    HTH!

    Best, Lisamarie

  3. Thanks so much for the suggestions. I'll certainly check them out! I don't consider baby powder to be a fresh scent either.
