Quo Sun-kissed Safari - Summer 2010

Quo's summer collection is here and sure to heat things up - inspired by blowing sands of the northern African desert and the wild heat of the southern African !  I must admit, summer collections are not my favourite, they always involve too many bronzers and warm shades that just don't appeal to me but this one is actually pretty fun.  Blues and purples and a bronzer that even a pale face like me might actually be able to wear!
Sahara Shadow Palette - $15 - Available in three shades with a complementary blush - Egyptian Goddess for a sultry bronze eye; Desert Mirage with shades of aqua; and Jewel of the Nile with shades of pink and purple.  I am loving the aqua set and I highly suspect it will be coming home with me!

Safari Bronzer - $20 - In a variety of three shades - Tigress, a series of soft shades resulting in a riveting glow; Sultry Sudan, which takes on a deeper, nighttime glow or Mystic Morocco, combining bronze with hints of rose for a natural, fresh look.  Tigress looks like a good pick for the pale so I am looking forward to giving that one a try!

Pleasant Surprise Lip Gloss - $12 - goes on clear and changes colour with the reaction to the heat of your lips and turns into a beautiful shade of pink, which varies from wearer to wearer.  Now does this mean that on someone mean and cold (like Christelle) that it wouldn't turn any colour at all?

Savannah Shimmer Body Glow - $25 - An all-over shimmer in a sun-kissed shade with a touch of pink that can be applied to the face or body.

Coming any day now to your local Shoppers Drug Mart.

  2. You should give them a try Fay - good quality, reasonable pricing and they are very on trend! And they know how much I like palettes so they keep coming out with them!

  4. Don't you love the way companies have gotten creative with bronzers?! They used to be just a one toned hunk of colour that I couldn't use - at least now they are fun blocks of colour that I (generally) can't use! ;-)
